Opera has introduced Opera Neon, an innovative AI-driven browser designed to transform web browsing by automating tasks and creating content on behalf of users. Described as an “agentic browser,” Neon leverages artificial intelligence to understand user intent and perform actions such as researching, designing, and building digital content—even continuing tasks while the user is offline.
Key features of Opera Neon include:
- Chat: A native AI assistant that allows users to search the web, obtain contextual information about webpages, and interact through a chatbot interface.
- Do: An AI agent, formerly known as “Browser Operator,” capable of automating routine web tasks like form-filling, shopping, and booking events, all while maintaining user privacy by operating locally within the browser.
- Make: A cloud-based AI engine that can create games, code snippets, reports, and websites based on user prompts, continuing to work on these tasks even when the user is offline.
Opera Neon is currently available through a waitlist for early adopters and is positioned as a premium subscription product, with pricing and full launch details yet to be announced.
